Heather Lyon’s Field, 490 Hinkley Ridge Road, Blue Hill Maine
The community is invited to Heather Lyon’s ‘Portal Jump’ a collective performance art event, where attendees are welcome to cross through a standing 10 foot tall wreath of natural materials, completed by Lyon in December 2021. Over the last 10 months Lyon has observed animals and birds, wind, rain and snow, moon and sun, all interacting with the sculpture. She has witnessed changes that have occurred in her life and others who have passed through the portal. Lyon's artworks engage the participant in acts of transformation and ritual, and in this performance, everyone is invited to pass through the threshold with intention to discover, ‘what lies on the other side’.
